2 Chronicles 33:12-13

12And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God aand humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. 13He prayed to him, and bGod was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. cThen Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.

Luke 7:39-50

39Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If ithis man were ja prophet, he kwould have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.” 40And Jesus answering said to him, Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he answered, “Say it, Teacher.”

41“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred ldenarii, and the other fifty. 42 mWhen they could not pay, he ncancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?” 43Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.” And he said to him, “You have judged rightly.” 44Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; oyou gave me no water for my feet, but pshe has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 qYou gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to rkiss my feet. 46 sYou did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. 47Therefore I tell you, her sins, twhich are many, are forgivenfor she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” 48And he said to her, uYour sins are forgiven.” 49Then those who were at table with him began to say among

50And he said to the woman, xYour faith has saved you; ygo in peace.”

Luke 15:2-7

2And the Pharisees and the scribes zgrumbled, saying, aa“This man receives sinners and abeats with them.”

3So he told them this parable: 4 acWhat man of you, having a hundred sheep, adif he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine aein the open country, and afgo after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5And when he has found it, aghe lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for ahI have found my sheep that was lost.’ 7Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who airepents than over ninety-nine ajrighteous persons who need no repentance.

Luke 15:10

10Just so, I tell you, there is joy before akthe angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Luke 15:21-32

21And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. alI am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

25Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.’ 28But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him, 29but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might aucelebrate with my friends. 30But when this son of yours came, avwho has devoured awyour property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’ 31And he said to him, ‘Son, axyou are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32It was fitting ayto celebrate and be glad, for this your brother azwas dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”
