2 Chronicles 35:25

25 aJeremiah also uttered a lament for Josiah; and all bthe singing men and singing women have spoken of Josiah in their laments to this day. They made these a rule in Israel; behold, they are written in the Laments.

Isaiah 57:1-2

Israel’s Futile Idolatry

1 The righteous man perishes,
and no one lays it to heart;
cdevout men are taken away,
while no one understands.
For the righteous man is taken away from calamity;
2 dhe enters into peace;
they rest ein their beds
who walk in their uprightness.

Jeremiah 22:10

10 fWeep not for him who is dead,
nor grieve for him,
gbut weep bitterly for him who goes away,
for he shall return no more
to see his native land.

Jeremiah 22:18

18Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:

jAh, lord!’ or ‘Ah, his majesty!’

John 11:31-35

31When the Jews kwho were with her in the house, consoling her, saw Mary rise quickly and go out, they followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there. 32Now when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him, lLord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he mwas deeply moved
