2 Chronicles 36:14-15

14All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations. And they polluted the house of the Lord that he had made holy in Jerusalem.

15The Lord, the God of their fathers, asent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place.

2 Chronicles 36:21

21to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had benjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days that it lay desolate cit kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

Jeremiah 25:3-5

3“For twenty-three years, dfrom the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, to this day, the word of the Lord has come to me, and I have spoken epersistently to you, fbut you have not listened. 4 gYou have neither listened nor inclined your ears to hear, although the Lord hpersistently sent to you all his servants the prophets, 5saying, iTurn now, every one of you, jfrom his evil way and evil deeds, and kdwell upon the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers from of old and forever.

Jeremiah 25:12

12Then after lseventy years are completed, mI will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, nthe land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, declares the Lord, omaking the land an everlasting waste.

Jeremiah 29:10

10For thus says the Lord: pWhen seventy years are completed for Babylon, qI will visit you, rand I will fulfill to you my promise sand bring you back to this place.
