2 Chronicles 36:15-16

15The Lord, the God of their fathers, asent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 bBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, cdespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, duntil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.

Jeremiah 3:8-11

8She saw that for all the adulteries of that faithless one, Israel, eI had sent her away with fa decree of divorce. gYet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but she too went hand played the whore. 9Because she took her whoredom lightly, she polluted the land, committing adultery with istone and tree. 10Yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to me jwith her whole heart, but in pretense, declares the Lord.”

11And the Lord said to me, kFaithless Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.

Hosea 4:15

15 Though you play the whore, O lIsrael,
let not mJudah become guilty.
nEnter not into oGilgal,
nor go up to pBeth-aven,
and swear not, “As the Lord lives.”
