2 Chronicles 36:15-16
15The Lord, the God of their fathers, asent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 bBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, cdespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, duntil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.Nehemiah 9:29-30
29 eAnd you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet fthey acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments, but sinned against your rules, gwhich if a person does them, he shall live by them, hand they turned a stubborn shoulder iand stiffened their neck and would not obey. 30Many years jyou bore with them kand warned them lby your Spirit through your prophets. mYet they would not give ear. nTherefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.Jeremiah 7:25
