2 Chronicles 36:15-16

15The Lord, the God of their fathers, asent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 bBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, cdespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, duntil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.

Psalms 81:8-11

8 eHear, O my people, while I admonish you!
O Israel, if you would but listen to me!
9There shall be no fstrange god among you;
you shall not bow down to a gforeign god.
10 hI am the Lord your God,
who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
iOpen your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 “But my people did not listen to my voice;
Israel jwould not submit to me.

Jeremiah 6:16-17

16 Thus says the Lord:
Stand by the roads, and look,
and ask for kthe ancient paths,
where the good way is; and walk in it,
land find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
17 mI set watchmen over you, saying,
‘Pay attention to nthe sound of the trumpet!’
But they said, o‘We will not pay attention.’

Jeremiah 11:7-8

7For I solemnly warned your fathers when I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, pwarning them persistently, even to this day, saying, qObey my voice. 8 rYet they did not obey or incline their ear, sbut everyone walked in the stubbornness of his evil heart. Therefore I brought upon them all tthe words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not.”

Jeremiah 25:3-7

3“For twenty-three years, ufrom the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, to this day, the word of the Lord has come to me, and I have spoken vpersistently to you, wbut you have not listened. 4 xYou have neither listened nor inclined your ears to hear, although the Lord ypersistently sent to you all his servants the prophets, 5saying, zTurn now, every one of you, aafrom his evil way and evil deeds, and abdwell upon the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers from of old and forever. 6 acDo not go after other gods to serve and worship them, ador provoke me to anger aewith the work of your hands. Then I will do you no harm.’ 7 afYet you have not listened to me, declares the Lord, agthat you might provoke me to anger ahwith the work of your hands to your own harm.

Jeremiah 35:15

15I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, sending them aipersistently, saying, ajTurn now every one of you from his evil way, and amend your deeds, and akdo not go after other gods to serve them, and then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to you and your fathers.’ alBut you did not incline your ear or listen to me.
