2 Chronicles 6:5-6

5Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there, and I chose no man as prince over my people Israel; 6 abut I have chosen Jerusalem that my name may be there, band I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.’

2 Chronicles 6:20

20 cthat your eyes may be open day and night toward this house, the place where you have promised to set your name, that you may listen to the prayer that your servant offers toward this place.

2 Chronicles 7:16

16 dFor now I have chosen and consecrated this house that my name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time.

8And they have lived in it and have built for you in it a sanctuary for your name, saying,

Nehemiah 1:9

9 hbut if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, ithough your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them jto the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.’
