2 Chronicles 8:2-6

2 Solomon rebuilt the cities that Hiram had given to him, and settled the people of Israel in them.

3 And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah and took it. 4 He built Tadmor in the wilderness and all the store cities that he built in Hamath. 5 He also built ^aUpper Beth-horon and Lower Beth-horon, ^bfortified cities ^cwith walls, gates, and bars, 6 and Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had and all the cities for his chariots and the cities for his horsemen, and whatever Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

2 Chronicles 14:6-7

6 He built ^dfortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest. He had no war in those years, ^efor the Lord gave him peace. 7 And he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with ^fwalls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God. We have sought him, ^gand he has given us peace on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Isaiah 22:8-11

In that day you looked to ^jthe weapons of the House of the Forest, 9 and you saw that ^kthe breaches of the city of David were many. ^lYou collected the waters of the lower pool, 10 and you counted the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall. 11 ^mYou made a reservoir between ⁿthe two walls for the water of ^othe old pool. But ^pyou did not look to him who did it, or see him who planned it long ago.
