2 Corinthians 1:17-20

17 Was I vacillating when I wanted to do this? Do I make my plans ^aaccording to the flesh, ready to say “Yes, yes” and “No, no” at the same time? 18 As surely as ^bGod is faithful, ^cour word to you has not been Yes and No. 19 For ^dthe Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you, ^eSilvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No, but ^fin him it is always Yes. 20 For ^gall the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our ^hAmen to God for his glory.

Colossians 4:6

6 Let your speech always ⁱbe gracious, ^jseasoned with salt, ^kso that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

James 5:12

12 But above all, my brothers, ^ldo not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.
