2 Corinthians 1:3-6

God of All Comfort

3 aBlessed be the bGod and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and cGod of all comfort, 4 dwho comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5For as we share abundantly in eChrist’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
Or For as the sufferings of Christ abound for us, so also our comfort abounds through Christ
6 gIf we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer.

2 Corinthians 11:24-29

24Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the hforty lashes less one. 25Three times I was ibeaten with rods. jOnce I was stoned. Three times I kwas shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; 26on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, ldanger from my own people, mdanger from Gentiles, ndanger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27 oin toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, pin hunger and thirst, often without food,
Or  often in fasting
in cold and exposure.
28And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for rall the churches. 29 sWho is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9But he said to me, tMy grace is sufficient for you, for umy power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that vthe power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 wFor the sake of Christ, then, xI am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For ywhen I am weak, then I am strong.
