2 Corinthians 1:5-8

5For as we share abundantly in aChrist’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
Or For as the sufferings of Christ abound for us, so also our comfort abounds through Christ
6 cIf we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. 7Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you dshare in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.

8For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church
of fthe affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself.

2 Corinthians 4:8-12

8We are gafflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9persecuted, but hnot forsaken; istruck down, but not destroyed; 10 jalways carrying in the body the death of Jesus, kso that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. 11For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesussake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12So ldeath is at work in us, but life in you.

2 Corinthians 11:23-27

23Are they mservants of Christ? nI am a better one—I am talking like a madmanwith far greater labors, ofar more imprisonments, pwith countless beatings, and qoften near death. 24Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the rforty lashes less one. 25Three times I was sbeaten with rods. tOnce I was stoned. Three times I uwas shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; 26on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, vdanger from my own people, wdanger from Gentiles, xdanger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27 yin toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, zin hunger and thirst, often without food,
Or  often in fasting
in cold and exposure.

2 Timothy 1:8

8Therefore aedo not be ashamed of afthe testimony about our Lord, nor of agme his prisoner, but ahshare in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,

2 Timothy 2:9-10

9 aifor which I am suffering, ajbound with chains as a criminal. But akthe word of God is not bound! 10Therefore alI endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain amthe salvation that is in Christ Jesus with aneternal glory.
