2 Corinthians 1:8-10

8For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church
of bthe affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself.
9Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us crely not on ourselves dbut on God ewho raises the dead. 10 fHe delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. gOn him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.

2 Corinthians 6:4

4but has servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: iby great endurance, jin afflictions, khardships, calamities,

2 Corinthians 7:5

5For even lwhen we came into Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were afflicted at every turn— mfighting without and fear within.

2 Corinthians 11:23-30

23Are they nservants of Christ? oI am a better one—I am talking like a madmanwith far greater labors, pfar more imprisonments, qwith countless beatings, and roften near death. 24Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the sforty lashes less one. 25Three times I was tbeaten with rods. uOnce I was stoned. Three times I vwas shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; 26on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, wdanger from my own people, xdanger from Gentiles, ydanger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27 zin toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, aain hunger and thirst, often without food,
Or  often in fasting
in cold and exposure.
28And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for acall the churches. 29 adWho is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?

30 aeIf I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.
