2 Corinthians 8:1-2

Encouragement to Give Generously

1We want you to know, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters
about the grace of God that has been bgiven among the churches of Macedonia,
2for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and ctheir extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.

2 Corinthians 8:9

The Cheerful Giver

6The point is this: fwhoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully
Greek with blessings; twice in this verse
will also reap bountifully.
7Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, hnot reluctantly or under compulsion, for iGod loves a cheerful giver. 8And jGod is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency
Or  all contentment
in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
9As it is written,

l“He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.”
10He who supplies mseed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and nincrease the harvest of your righteousness. 11 oYou will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which pthrough us will produce thanksgiving to God. 12For the ministry of this service is not only supplying qthe needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. 13By their approval of this service, rthey
Or you
will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your tconfession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others,
14while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. 15 uThanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

Philippians 4:18-19

18I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, vhaving received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, wa fragrant offering, xa sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. 19And my God ywill supply every need of yours zaccording to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 13:16

1 John 3:17

17But acif anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet adcloses his heart against him, aehow does God’s love abide in him?
