of silver from every man, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back and did not stay there in the land. 2 Kings 15:29
29In the days of Pekah king of Israel, kTiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured lIjon, mAbel-beth-maacah, Janoah, nKedesh, oHazor, Gilead, and pGalilee, all the land of Naphtali, and he carried the people captive to Assyria.2 Kings 18:9

Judah Defeated
5 rTherefore the Lord his God gave him into the hand of the king of Syria, who defeated him and took captive a great number of his people and brought them to Damascus. He was also given into the hand of the king of Israel, who struck him with great force. 6For sPekah the son of Remaliah killed 120,000 from Judah in one day, all of them men of valor, because they had forsaken the Lord, the God of their fathers.Nehemiah 9:27-28
27 tTherefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. uAnd in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them vsaviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies. 28 wBut after they had rest they did evil again before you, and you abandoned them to the hand of their enemies, so that they had dominion over them. Yet when they turned and cried to you, you heard from heaven, xand many times you delivered them according to your mercies.
