5(Therefore the Lord gave Israel aa savior, so that they escaped from the hand of the Syrians, and the people of Israel lived in btheir homes as formerly.

2 Kings 13:23

23 cBut the Lord was gracious to them and had compassion on them, dand he turned toward them, ebecause of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, nor has he cast them from his presence until now.

25 fHe restored the border of Israel gfrom Lebo-hamath as far as the Sea of hthe Arabah, according to the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, which he spoke by his servant iJonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was from jGath-hepher. 26For the Lord ksaw that the affliction of Israel was very bitter, lfor there was none left, bond or free, and there was none to help Israel. 27 mBut the Lord had not said that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, so he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

Psalms 106:43-45

43 nMany times he delivered them,
but they were rebellious in their opurposes
and were pbrought low through their iniquity.
44 Nevertheless, he looked upon their distress,
when he qheard their cry.
45For their sake he rremembered his covenant,
and srelented according to tthe abundance of his steadfast love.
