2 Kings 15:29

29In the days of Pekah king of Israel, aTiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured bIjon, cAbel-beth-maacah, Janoah, dKedesh, eHazor, Gilead, and fGalilee, all the land of Naphtali, and he carried the people captive to Assyria.

2 Kings 17:3-6

3 gAgainst him came up hShalmaneser king of Assyria. And Hoshea became his vassal and paid him tribute. 4But the king of Assyria found treachery in Hoshea, for he had sent messengers to So, king of Egypt, and offered no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year. Therefore the king of Assyria shut him up and bound him in prison. 5Then the king of Assyria invaded all the land and came to Samaria, and for three years he besieged it.

The Fall of Israel

6In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria icaptured Samaria, jand he carried the Israelites away to Assyria kand placed them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of lGozan, and in the cities of mthe Medes.

2 Kings 17:23

23until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, nas he had spoken by all his servants the prophets. oSo Israel was exiled from their own land to Assyria until this day.

2 Kings 18:9-12

9In the fourth year of King Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah, king of Israel, pShalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria and besieged it, 10and at the end of three years he took it. In the sixth year of Hezekiah, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken. 11The king of Assyria carried the Israelites away to Assyria and put them in qHalah, and on the rHabor, sthe river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes, 12because they did not obey the voice of the Lord their God but transgressed his covenant, even all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded. They neither listened nor obeyed.

1 Chronicles 5:26

26So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of tPul king of Assyria, the spirit of uTiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and he took them into exile, namely, the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, and brought them vto Halah, wHabor, Hara, and xthe river Gozan, to this day.

Hosea 11:5
