4 aNevertheless, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and made offerings on the high places.

2 Kings 18:4

4 bHe removed the high places and broke the cpillars and cut down dthe Asherah. And he broke in pieces ethe bronze serpent that Moses had made, for until those days the people of Israel had made offerings to it (it was called Nehushtan).
 Nehushtan sounds like the Hebrew for both  bronze and  serpent

2 Chronicles 32:12

12 gHas not this same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, “Before one altar you shall worship, and on it you shall burn your sacrifices”?
