2 Kings 17:23-24

23until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, aas he had spoken by all his servants the prophets. bSo Israel was exiled from their own land to Assyria until this day.

Assyria Resettles Samaria

24 cAnd the king of Assyria brought people from dBabylon, Cuthah, eAvva, fHamath, and gSepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the people of Israel. And they took possession of Samaria and lived in its cities.

2 Chronicles 36:20-21

20He htook into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, iand they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia, 21to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had jenjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days that it lay desolate kit kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

Isaiah 63:17-18

17O Lord, why do you make us wander from your ways
and lharden our heart, so that we fear you not?
mReturn for the sake of your servants,
the tribes of your heritage.
18 nYour holy people held possession for a little while;
Or They have dispossessed your holy people for a little while

pour adversaries have trampled down your sanctuary.

Micah 1:15
