Assyria Resettles Samaria

24 ^cAnd the king of Assyria brought people from ^dBabylon, Cuthah, ^eAvva, ^fHamath, and ^gSepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the people of Israel. And they took possession of Samaria and lived in its cities.

2 Chronicles 36:20-21

20 He ^htook into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, ⁱand they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia, 21 to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had ^jenjoyed its Sabbaths.
