2 Kings 18:17

17And the king of Assyria sent the aTartan, the Rab-saris, and the Rabshakeh with a great army from Lachish to King Hezekiah at Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. When they arrived, they came and stood by bthe conduit of the upper pool, which is on the highway to the Washer’s Field.

Fall and Captivity of Judah

1 hAnd in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, iNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came with all his army against Jerusalem and laid siege to it. jAnd they built siegeworks all around it. 2So the city was besieged till the eleventh year of King Zedekiah. 3On the ninth day of the fourth month kthe famine was so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land. 4Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by lthe king’s garden, and mthe Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the nArabah.

Ezekiel 21:22

22Into his right hand comes the divination for Jerusalem, oto set battering rams, to open the mouth with murder, to lift up the voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, pto cast up mounds, to build siege towers.

Matthew 22:7

7The king was angry, and he sent his troops and qdestroyed those murderers and burned their city.

Luke 19:43-44

43For rthe days will come upon you, when your enemies swill set up a barricade around you and tsurround you and hem you in on every side 44 uand tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you.
