12 aHave the gods of the nations delivered them, the nations that my fathers destroyed, bGozan, cHaran, Rezeph, and the people of dEden who were in Telassar?

2 Kings 19:16-19

16 eIncline your ear, O Lord, and hear; fopen your eyes, O Lord, and see; and hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent gto mock the living God. 17Truly, O Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands 18and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods, hbut the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. Therefore they were destroyed. 19So now, O Lord our God, save us, please, from his hand, ithat all the kingdoms of the earth may know that jyou, O Lord, are God alone.”

Psalms 115:3-7

3 kOur God is in the heavens;
lhe does all that he pleases.
4 mTheir idols are silver and gold,
nthe work of human hands.
5They have mouths, obut do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
6They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
7They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
and they do not make a sound in their throat.

Isaiah 47:13

13You are wearied with your many counsels;
let them stand forth and save you,
pthose who divide the heavens,
who gaze at the stars,
who at the new moons make known
what shall come upon you.

Jeremiah 10:5

5Their idols
Hebrew They
are like scarecrows in a cucumber field,
and rthey cannot speak;
sthey have to be carried,
for they cannot walk.
Do not be afraid of them,
tfor they cannot do evil,
neither is it in them to do good.”
