Jeremiah 25:9-14

9 ibehold, I will send for all the tribes of the north, declares the Lord, and for Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, jmy servant, and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations. I will devote them to destruction, kand make them a horror, a hissing, and an everlasting desolation. 10Moreover, lI will banish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, mthe grinding of the millstones and nthe light of the lamp. 11 oThis whole land shall become a ruin and a waste, and pthese nations shall serve the king of Babylon qseventy years. 12Then after rseventy years are completed, sI will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, tthe land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, declares the Lord, umaking the land an everlasting waste. 13I will bring upon that land all the words that I have uttered against it, everything written vin this book, which Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations. 14 wFor many nations xand great kings shall make slaves even of them, yand I will recompense them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.”

Ezekiel 30:25

25I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall. zThen they shall know that I am the Lord, aawhen I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he stretches it out against the land of Egypt.
