Elijah Taken to Heaven

1Now when the Lord was about to atake Elijah up to heaven by a whirlwind, Elijah and bElisha were on their way from cGilgal. 2And Elijah said to Elisha, dPlease stay here, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said, e“As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel. 3And fthe sons of the prophets who were in Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, “Do you know that today the Lord will take away your master from over you?” And he said, “Yes, I know it; keep quiet.”

2 Kings 2:11

11And as they still went on and talked, behold, gchariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Mark 16:19

19So then the Lord Jesus, hafter he had spoken to them, iwas taken up into heaven and jsat down at the right hand of God.
