2 Kings 2:2-6

2And Elijah said to Elisha, aPlease stay here, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said, b“As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel. 3And cthe sons of the prophets who were in Bethel came out to Elisha and said to him, “Do you know that today the Lord will take away your master from over you?” And he said, “Yes, I know it; keep quiet.”

4Elijah said to him, “Elisha, dplease stay here, for the Lord has sent me to eJericho.” But he said, f“As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho. 5 gThe sons of the prophets who were at Jericho drew near to Elisha and said to him, “Do you know that today the Lord will take away your master from over you?” And he answered, “Yes, I know it; keep quiet.”

6Then Elijah said to him, hPlease stay here, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan.” But he said, “As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So the two of them went on.

Luke 24:28-29

28So they drew near to the village to which they were going. iHe acted as if he were going farther, 29but they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and jthe day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them.

Acts 21:13

13Then Paul answered, kWhat are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For lI am ready not only to be imprisoned but even to die in Jerusalem mfor the name of the Lord Jesus.”
