2 Kings 21:12-15

12therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Behold, I am bringing upon Jerusalem and Judah such disaster
Or evil
that the ears of everyone who hears of it bwill tingle.
13 cAnd I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria, and the plumb line of the house of Ahab, and I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. 14And I will forsake the remnant of my heritage and give them into the hand of their enemies, and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies, 15because they have done what is evil in my sight and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came out of Egypt, even to this day.”

2 Chronicles 34:24-25

24Thus says the Lord, Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants, all the curses that are written in the book that was read before the king of Judah. 25Because they have forsaken me and dhave made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands, therefore emy wrath will be poured out on this place and will not be quenched.

2 Chronicles 36:16-17

16 fBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, gdespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, huntil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.

Jerusalem Captured and Burned

17 iTherefore he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged. He gave them all into his hand.

Nehemiah 9:26-27

26 j“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you kand cast your law behind their back land killed your prophets, who mhad warned them in order to turn them back to you, nand they committed great blasphemies. 27 oTherefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. pAnd in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them qsaviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies.

Isaiah 59:1-2

Evil and Oppression

1 Behold, rthe Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save,
or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;
2 sbut your iniquities have made a separation
between you and your God,
and your sins have hidden his face from you
so that he does not hear.
