16 Thus says the Lord, Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants, all the words of the book that the king of Judah has read. 17 ^aBecause they have forsaken me and have made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore ^bmy wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched.

2 Chronicles 36:21

Isaiah 6:11

Jeremiah 34:22

22 Behold, ^tI will command, declares the Lord, and will ^ubring them back to this city. ^vAnd they will fight against it and take it and burn it with fire. ^wI will make the cities of Judah a desolation ^xwithout inhabitant.”

Jeremiah 36:29

29 And concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah you shall say, ‘Thus says the Lord, You have burned this scroll, saying, ^y“Why have you written in it that the king of Babylon will certainly come and destroy this land, and will cut off from it man and beast?”
