2 Kings 22:18-19

18But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the Lord, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Regarding the words that you have heard, 19 abecause your heart was penitent, and you bhumbled yourself before the Lord, when you heard how I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become ca desolation and da curse, and you ehave torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the Lord.

2 Chronicles 32:12-13

12 fHas not this same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, “Before one altar you shall worship, and on it you shall burn your sacrifices”? 13Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands at all able to deliver their lands out of my hand?

Psalms 34:18

18The Lord is near to gthe brokenhearted
and saves hthe crushed in spirit.

Psalms 51:17

17The sacrifices of God are ia broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Isaiah 57:15

15For thus says jthe One who is high and lifted up,
who inhabits eternity, whose name is kHoly:
l“I dwell in the high and holy place,
and also mwith him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
nto revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Isaiah 66:2

2 oAll these things my hand has made,
and so all these things came to be,

declares the Lord.
pBut this is the one to whom I will look:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit
and trembles at my word.

Ezekiel 9:4

4And the Lord said to him, “Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and qput a mark on the foreheads of the men who rsigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it.”
