20Therefore, behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and ayou shall be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes shall not see all the disaster that I will bring upon this place.’” And they brought back word to the king.

2 Kings 23:30

30 bAnd his servants carried him dead in a chariot from cMegiddo and brought him to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. dAnd the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father’s place.

2 Chronicles 35:23-25

23And the archers shot King Josiah. And the king said to his servants, e“Take me away, for I am badly wounded.” 24So his servants took him out of the chariot and carried him in his second chariot and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died and was buried in the tombs of his fathers. fAll Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah. 25 gJeremiah also uttered a lament for Josiah; and all hthe singing men and singing women have spoken of Josiah in their laments to this day. They made these a rule in Israel; behold, they are written in the Laments.
