Josiah Repairs the Temple
3In the eighteenth year of King Josiah, the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, son of Meshullam, the secretary, to the house of the Lord, saying,2 Kings 22:8
Hilkiah Finds the Book of the Law
8And Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, “I have found athe Book of the Law in the house of the Lord.” And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.2 Kings 22:12
12And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and bAhikam the son of Shaphan, and cAchbor the son of dMicaiah, and Shaphan the secretary, and Asaiah the king’s servant, saying,2 Kings 22:14
14So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of eTikvah, son of fHarhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in gthe Second Quarter), and they talked with her.2 Kings 25:22
Gedaliah Made Governor of Judah
22And over the people who remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, he appointed hGedaliah the son of iAhikam, son of Shaphan, governor.2 Chronicles 34:20
20And the king commanded Hilkiah, Ahikam the son of Shaphan, Abdon the son of Micah, Shaphan the secretary, and Asaiah the king’s servant, saying,Jeremiah 26:24
24But the hand of jAhikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah so that he was not given over to the people to be put to death.Jeremiah 29:3
3The letter was sent by the hand of Elasah the son of kShaphan and Gemariah the son of lHilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. It said:Jeremiah 36:10
10Then, in the hearing of all the people, Baruch read the words of Jeremiah from the scroll, in the house of the Lord, in mthe chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the secretary, which was in the upper court, at the entry of the New Gate of the Lord’s house.
