Jeremiah 7:31-32

31 And they have built the high places of ^fTopheth, which is in ^gthe Valley of the Son of Hinnom, ^hto burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, ⁱwhich I did not command, nor did it come into my mind. 32 ^jTherefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when it will no more be called ^kTopheth, or ^lthe Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter; ^mfor they will bury in Topheth, because there is no room elsewhere.

Jeremiah 19:6

6 therefore, ⁿbehold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when this place shall no more be called Topheth, or ^othe Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter.

Jeremiah 19:11-14

11 and shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: So will I break this people and this city, ^pas one breaks a potter’s vessel, ^qso that it can never be mended. ^rMen shall bury in Topheth because there will be no place else to bury. 12 Thus will I do to this place, declares the Lord, and to its inhabitants, making this city ^slike Topheth. 13 The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah— ^tall the houses on whose ^uroofs offerings have been offered ^vto all the host of heaven, and ^wdrink offerings have been poured out to other gods—shall be defiled ^xlike the place of Topheth.’”

14 Then Jeremiah came from ^yTopheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy, ^zand he stood in the court of the Lord’s house and said to all the people:

Matthew 18:8-9

8 ^aaAnd if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into ^abthe eternal fire. 9 ^acAnd if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into the ^adhell ^{▼▼Greek Gehenna} of fire.
