2 Kings 23:29

29 aIn his days bPharaoh Neco king of Egypt went up to the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates. King Josiah went to meet him, and Pharaoh Neco killed him at cMegiddo, as soon as he saw him.

2 Kings 23:34

34And dPharaoh Neco made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the place of Josiah his father, and echanged his name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz away, fand he came to Egypt and died there.

2 Kings 24:6

6So Jehoiakim gslept with his fathers, and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place.

2 Kings 24:14-16

14 hHe carried away all Jerusalem and all the officials and all the mighty men of valor, i10,000 captives, jand all the craftsmen and the smiths. None remained, kexcept the poorest people of the land. 15 lAnd he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon. The king’s mother, the king’s wives, his officials, and the chief men of the land he took into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon. 16And the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon all the men of valor, m7,000, and the craftsmen and the metal workers, 1,000, all of them strong and fit for war.

2 Kings 25:6-7

6Then they captured the king nand brought him up to the king of Babylon at oRiblah, and they passed sentence on him. 7They slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, pand put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in chains and took him to Babylon.

Jeremiah 22:10-11

10 qWeep not for him who is dead,
nor grieve for him,
rbut weep bitterly for him who goes away,
for he shall return no more
to see his native land.

Message to the Sons of Josiah

11For thus says the Lord concerning Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and swho went away from this place: “He shall return here no more,

Jeremiah 22:18-19

18Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:

t“They shall not lament for him, saying,
uAh, my brother!’ or ‘Ah, sister!’
They shall not lament for him, saying,
vAh, lord!’ or ‘Ah, his majesty!’
19With the burial of a donkey whe shall be buried,
dragged and dumped beyond the gates of Jerusalem.”

Jeremiah 22:25-27

25and xgive you yinto the hand of those who seek your life, into the hand of those of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and into the hand of the Chaldeans. 26 zI will hurl you and aathe mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born, and there you shall die. 27But to the land to which they will long to return, there they shall not return.”

Jeremiah 22:30

30Thus says the Lord:
Write this man down as abchildless,
a man who shall not succeed in his days,
acfor none of his offspring shall succeed
adin sitting on the throne of David
and ruling again in Judah.”

Ezekiel 19:11

11Its strong stems became
rulersscepters;
it towered aloft
among the thick boughs;
Or  the clouds

it was seen in its height
with the mass of its branches.
