Jehoiachin Reigns in Judah

8 aJehoiachin was beighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 36:10

10In cthe spring of the year King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, dwith the precious vessels of the house of the Lord, and made his brother eZedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.

Esther 2:6

6 fwho had been carried away from Jerusalem among the captives carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away.

Jeremiah 22:24-28

24 g“As I live, declares the Lord, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, were hthe signet ring on my right hand, yet I would tear you off 25and igive you jinto the hand of those who seek your life, into the hand of those of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and into the hand of the Chaldeans. 26 kI will hurl you and lthe mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born, and there you shall die. 27But to the land to which they will long to return, there they shall not return.”

28 Is this man mConiah a despised, broken pot,
a nvessel no one cares for?
Why are he and his children hurled and cast
into a oland that they do not know?
