2 Kings 25:4-10

4Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by athe king’s garden, and bthe Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the cArabah. 5But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him. 6Then they captured the king dand brought him up to the king of Babylon at eRiblah, and they passed sentence on him. 7They slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, fand put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in chains and took him to Babylon.

8 gIn the fifth month, on hthe seventh day of the month—that was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of BabylonNebuzaradan, the captain of the bodyguard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 9 iAnd he burned the house of the Lord jand the king’s house and all the houses of Jerusalem; every great house he burned down. 10And all the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, kbroke down the walls around Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 36:19

19 lAnd they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem and burned all its palaces with fire and destroyed all its precious vessels.

Nehemiah 2:3

3I said to the king, m“Let the king live forever! Why should not my face be sad, nwhen the city, the place of my fathersgraves, lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?”

Nehemiah 2:17

17Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in, ohow Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer psuffer derision.”

Isaiah 1:7

your cities are burned with fire;

Isaiah 24:10-12

severy house is shut up so that none can enter.

the gates are battered into ruins.

Jeremiah 4:7

7 vA lion has gone up from his thicket,
a destroyer of nations has set out;
he has gone out from his place
to make your land a waste;
your cities will be ruins
wwithout inhabitant.

Jeremiah 9:11

11 xI will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins,
ya lair of jackals,
zand I will make the cities of Judah a desolation,
without inhabitant.”
