4 Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by ^athe king’s garden, and ^bthe Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the ^cArabah. 5 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him. 6 Then they captured the king ^dand brought him up to the king of Babylon at ^eRiblah, and they passed sentence on him. 7 They slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, ^fand put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in chains and took him to Babylon.

Jeremiah 21:4-7

4 ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: ^gBehold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands and with which you are fighting against the king of Babylon and against the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the walls. ^hAnd I will bring them together into the midst of this city. 5 I myself will fight against you ⁱwith outstretched hand and strong arm, ^jin anger and in fury and in great wrath. 6 And I will strike down the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast. They shall die of a great pestilence. 7 Afterward, declares the Lord, ^kI will give Zedekiah king of Judah and his servants and the people in this city who survive the pestilence, sword, and famine into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and into the hand of their enemies, into the hand of those who seek their lives. He shall strike them down with the edge of the sword. ^lHe shall not pity them or spare them or have compassion.’

Jeremiah 24:8-10

8 “But thus says the Lord: Like ^mthe bad figs that are so bad they cannot be eaten, so will I treat ⁿZedekiah the king of Judah, his officials, the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who ^odwell in the land of Egypt. 9 I will make them ^pa horror ^{▼▼Compare Septuagint; Hebrew horror for evil} to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be ^ra reproach, ^sa byword, ^ta taunt, and ^ua curse in all the places where I shall drive them. 10 And I will send ^vsword, famine, and pestilence upon them, until they shall be utterly destroyed from the land that I gave to them and their fathers.”

Jeremiah 29:4-7

And they went in the direction of the Arabah. 8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him. 9 Then they captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he passed sentence on him. 10 The king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and also slaughtered all the officials of Judah at ^yRiblah. 11 ^zHe put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him in chains, and the king of Babylon took him to Babylon, and put him in prison ^aatill the day of his death.
