Peter Denies Jesus

69 aNow Peter was sitting outside bin the courtyard. And a servant girl came up to him and said, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean.” 70But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you mean.” 71And when he went out to the entrance, another servant girl saw him, and she said to the bystanders, “This man was with Jesus cof Nazareth.” 72And again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man.” 73After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Certainly you too are one of them, for dyour accent betrays you.” 74Then he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know the man.” And immediately the rooster crowed. 75And Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, eBefore the rooster crows, you will fdeny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

Mark 14:38

38 gWatch and hpray that you may not ienter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Peter Denies Jesus

66 jAnd as Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came, 67and seeing Peter kwarming himself, she looked at him and said, “You also were with the Nazarene, Jesus.” 68But he denied it, saying, “I neither know nor understand what you mean.” And he went out into the gateway

And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him, pBefore the rooster crows twice, you will qdeny me three times.” And he broke down and wept.

Peter Denies Jesus

54 sThen they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high priest’s house, tand Peter was following at a distance. 55 uAnd when they had kindled a fire in the middle of vthe courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them. 56Then a servant girl, seeing him as he sat in the light and looking closely at him, said, “This man also was with him.” 57But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know him.” 58And a little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.” 59And after an interval of about an hour still another winsisted, saying, “Certainly this man also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.” 60But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. 61And the Lord turned and xlooked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, yBefore the rooster crows today, you will zdeny me three times.”

John 18:25-27

Peter Denies Jesus Again

25 aaNow Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him, “You also are not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.” 26One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of abthe man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Did I not see you acin the garden with him?” 27Peter again denied it, and adat once a rooster crowed.
