2 Kings 6:26-28

26Now as the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, saying, “Help, my lord, O king!” 27And he said, “If the Lord will not help you, how shall I help you? From the threshing floor, or from the winepress?” 28And the king asked her, “What is your trouble?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’

Job 29:12-14

12because I adelivered the poor who cried for help,
and the fatherless who had none to help him.
13 bThe blessing of him who was cabout to perish came upon me,
and I caused dthe widow’s heart to sing for joy.
14I eput on righteousness, and it clothed me;
my justice was like a robe and fa turban.

Luke 18:3-5

3And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ 4For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, gThough I neither fear God nor respect man, 5yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’”
