2 Kings 9:33-37

33He said, “Throw her down.” So they threw her down. And some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses, and they trampled on her. 34Then he went in and ate and drank. And he said, “See now to this cursed woman and bury her, afor she is a king’s daughter.” 35But when they went to bury her, they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands. 36When they came back and told him, he said, “This is the word of the Lord, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite: b‘In the territory of Jezreel the dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel, 37and the corpse of Jezebel shall be cas dung on the face of the field in the territory of Jezreel, so that no one can say, This is Jezebel.’”

Psalms 79:2-3

2They have given dthe bodies of your servants
to the birds of the heavens for food,
the flesh of your efaithful to fthe beasts of the earth.
3They have poured out their blood like water
all around Jerusalem,
and there was gno one to bury them.

Jeremiah 9:21-22

21For death has come up into our windows;
it has entered our palaces,
jcutting off the children from the streets
and the young men from the squares.
22Speak: “Thus declares the Lord,
k‘The dead bodies of men shall fall
like dung upon the open field,
llike sheaves after the reaper,
and none shall gather them.’”

Jeremiah 15:3

3 mI will appoint over them four kinds of destroyers, declares the Lord: the sword to kill, the dogs to tear, and nthe birds of the air oand the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy.

Jeremiah 16:4-6

4 pThey shall die of deadly diseases. qThey shall not be lamented, nor shall they be buried. rThey shall be as dung on the surface of the ground. sThey shall perish by the sword and by famine, tand their dead bodies shall be food for the birds of the air and for the beasts of the earth.

5“For thus says the Lord: uDo not enter the house of mourning, or go to lament or grieve for them, for I have taken away my peace from this people, my steadfast love and mercy, declares the Lord. 6Both great and small shall die in this land. vThey shall not be buried, and no one shall lament for them or wcut himself xor make himself bald for them.

Jeremiah 18:21

21Therefore ydeliver up their children to famine;
give them over to the power of the sword;
let their wives become childless zand widowed.
May their men meet death by pestilence,
their youths be struck down by the sword in battle.
