5For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith awith virtue,

6and knowledge with self-control, and self-control dwith steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7and godliness ewith brotherly affection, and brotherly affection fwith love. 8For if these qualities

Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church
be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and lelection, for if you practice these qualities myou will never fall.
