2 Peter 2:3
3And ain their greed they will exploit you bwith false words. cTheir condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.2 Peter 2:18-20
18For, dspeaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely eescaping from those who live in error. 19They promise them ffreedom, gbut they themselves are slaves ▼▼Greek bondservants
of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. 20For if, iafter they have escaped the defilements of the world jthrough the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, kthe last state has become worse for them than the first. 1 John 4:1-3
Test the Spirits
1Beloved, ldo not believe every spirit, but mtest the spirits to see whether they are from God, for nmany ofalse prophets phave gone out into the world. 2By this you know the Spirit of God: qevery spirit that confesses that rJesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3and every spirit sthat does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and tnow is in the world already.Jude 16
16These are grumblers, malcontents, ufollowing their own sinful desires; vthey are loud-mouthed boasters, wshowing favoritism to gain advantage.
