Nathan Rebukes David

1And the Lord sent aNathan to David. He came to him and said to him, b“There were two men in a certain city, the one rich and the other poor. 2The rich man had very many flocks and herds, 3but the poor man had nothing but one little ewe lamb, which he had bought. And he brought it up, and it grew up with him and with his children. It used to eat of his morsel and drink from his cup and lie in his arms,

and it was like a daughter to him.
4Now there came a traveler to the rich man, and he was unwilling to take one of his own flock or herd to prepare for the guest who had come to him, but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.” 5Then David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man, and he said to Nathan, d“As the Lord lives, the man who has done this deserves to die, 6and he shall restore the lamb efourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.”

2 Chronicles 16:7-9

7At that time fHanani gthe seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, h“Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you. 8Were not ithe Ethiopians and jthe Libyans a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet kbecause you relied on the Lord, he gave them into your hand. 9 lFor the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those mwhose heart is blameless

2But qJehu the son of rHanani sthe seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you thelp the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, uwrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

2 Chronicles 20:37

37Then Eliezer the son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, v“Because you have joined with Ahaziah, the Lord will destroy what you have made.” And the ships were wrecked and were not able to go to Tarshish.

2 Chronicles 25:7

7But wa man of God came to him and said, “O king, do not let the army of Israel go with you, for the Lord is not with Israel, with all these Ephraimites.
