10Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ 11Thus says the Lord, ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house. And I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. 12For you did it secretly, abut I will do this thing before all Israel and before the sun.’”

17 eTherefore thus says the Lord:

“‘Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city,

you yourself shall die in an unclean land,
and gIsrael shall surely go into exile away from its land.’”

Romans 1:23-28

23and hexchanged the glory of ithe immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

24Therefore jGod gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to kthe dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25because they exchanged the truth about God for la lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, mwho is blessed forever! Amen.

26For this reason nGod gave them up to odishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, pmen committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, qGod gave them up to ra debased mind to do swhat ought not to be done.
