2 Samuel 12:9-10

9 aWhy have you despised the word of the Lord, bto do what is evil in his sight? cYou have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and dhave taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’

Isaiah 31:1-3

Woe to Those Who Go Down to Egypt

1 Woe to uthose who go down to Egypt for help
and rely on horses,
who vtrust in chariots because they are many
and in horsemen because they are very strong,
but wdo not look to the Holy One of Israel
or consult the Lord!
2And xyet he is wise and brings disaster;
yhe does not call back his words,
but zwill arise against the house of the evildoers
and against the helpers of aathose who work iniquity.
3The Egyptians are man, and not God,
and their horses abare flesh, and not spirit.
When the Lord stretches out his hand,
the helper will stumble, and he who is helped will fall,
and they will all perish together.
