Isaiah 5:24

24 Therefore, ^eas the tongue of fire devours the stubble,
and as dry grass sinks down in the flame,
so ^ftheir root will be ^gas rottenness,
and their blossom go up like dust;

Isaiah 31:1-3

Woe to Those Who Go Down to Egypt

1 Woe to ^uthose who go down to Egypt for help
and rely on horses,
who ^vtrust in chariots because they are many
and in horsemen because they are very strong,
but ^wdo not look to the Holy One of Israel
or consult the Lord!
2 And ^xyet he is wise and brings disaster;
^yhe does not call back his words,
but ^zwill arise against the house of the evildoers
and against the helpers of ^aathose who work iniquity.
3 The Egyptians are man, and not God,
and their horses ^abare flesh, and not spirit.
When the Lord stretches out his hand,
the helper will stumble, and he who is helped will fall,
and they will all perish together.
