2 Samuel 2:4

4And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David aking over the house of Judah.

When they told David, b“It was the men of Jabesh-gilead who buried Saul,”

2 Samuel 2:9-12

9and he made him king over Gilead and the Ashurites and Jezreel and Ephraim and Benjamin and all Israel. 10Ish-bosheth, Saul’s son, was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and he reigned two years. But the house of Judah followed David. 11 cAnd the time that David was king in Hebron over dthe house of Judah was seven years and six months.

The Battle of Gibeon

12Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ish-bosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.

2 Samuel 4:6-7

6And they came into the midst of the house as if to get wheat, and they stabbed him ein the stomach. Then Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
Septuagint  And behold, the doorkeeper of the house had been cleaning wheat, but she grew drowsy and slept. So Rechab and Baanah his brother slipped in
7When they came into the house, as he lay on his bed in his bedroom, they struck him and put him to death and beheaded him. They took his head and went by the way of gthe Arabah all night,

2 Samuel 5:3

3So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, hand King David made a covenant with them at Hebron ibefore the Lord, and they anointed David king over Israel.
