49 who brought me out from my enemies;
you exalted me above ^athose who rose against me;
you delivered me from ^bmen of violence.

9 Destroy, O Lord, ^cdivide their tongues;
for I see ^dviolence and strife in the city.

14 From oppression and violence he redeems their life,
and ^eprecious is their blood in his sight.

14 O God, insolent men have ^frisen up against me;
a band of ruthless men seeks my life,
and they do not set you before them.

1 ^gDeliver me, O Lord, from evil men;
preserve me from ^hviolent men,

4 Guard me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked;
preserve me from ⁱviolent men,
who have planned to trip up my feet.

11 Let not the slanderer be established in the land;
let evil hunt down the violent man speedily!
