2 Samuel 23:16-17

16 Then the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate and carried and brought it to David. But he would not drink of it. He poured it out to the Lord 17 and said, “Far be it from me, O Lord, that I should do this. Shall I drink ^athe blood of the men who went at the risk of their lives?” Therefore he would not drink it. These things the three mighty men did.

Psalms 51:18

18 ^bDo good to Zion in your good pleasure;
^cbuild up the walls of Jerusalem;

Psalms 55:3-11

3 because of the noise of the enemy,
because of the oppression of the wicked.

for I see ^kviolence and strife in the city.
10 Day and night they go around it
on its walls,
and ^liniquity and trouble are within it;
11 ruin is in its midst;
^moppression and fraud
do not depart from its marketplace.

Psalms 137:5-6

5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
ⁿlet my right hand forget its skill!
6 Let my ^otongue stick to the roof of my mouth,
if I do not remember you,
if I do not set Jerusalem
above my highest joy!
