1 When Ish-bosheth, Saul’s son, heard that Abner had died at Hebron, ^ahis courage failed, and all Israel was dismayed.

5 But now it has come to you, and you are impatient;
it touches you, and you are dismayed.

6 When I remember, I am dismayed,
and shuddering seizes my flesh.

15 Therefore I am terrified at his presence;
when I consider, I am in dread of him.
