2 Samuel 5:1

David Anointed King of Israel

1 Then all the tribes of Israel ^acame to David at Hebron and said, “Behold, ^bwe are your bone and flesh.

2 Samuel 5:3

3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, ^cand King David made a covenant with them at Hebron ^dbefore the Lord, and they anointed David king over Israel.

2 Samuel 5:6

6 ^eAnd the king and his men went to Jerusalem ^fagainst the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who said to David, “You will not come in here, but the blind and the lame will ward you off”—thinking, “David cannot come in here.”

2 Samuel 5:22

22 And the Philistines came up yet again ^gand spread out in the Valley of Rephaim.
