11 aAnd bHiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, also carpenters and masons who built David a house.

1 Kings 5:2-6

2And Solomon sent word to Hiram, 3 c“You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of the Lord his God dbecause of the warfare with which his enemies surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet. 4 eBut now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side. There is neither adversary nor misfortune. 5And so I intend to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, fas the Lord said to David my father, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, shall build the house for my name.’ 6Now therefore command that cedars of Lebanon be cut for me. And my servants will join your servants, and I will pay you for your servants such wages as you set, for you know that there is no one among us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.”

1 Kings 9:10-22

Solomon’s Other Acts

10 gAt the end of htwenty years, in which Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord and the king’s house, 11and Hiram king of Tyre had supplied Solomon with cedar and cypress timber and gold, as much as he desired, King Solomon gave to Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee. 12But when Hiram came from Tyre to see the cities that Solomon had given him, they did not please him. 13Therefore he said, “What kind of cities are these that you have given me, my brother?” So they are called the land of iCabul to this day. 14Hiram had sent to the king 120 talents
A  talent was about 75 pounds or 34 kilograms
of gold.

15And this is the account of kthe forced labor that King Solomon drafted to build the house of the Lord and his own house and lthe Millo and the wall of Jerusalem and mHazor and nMegiddo and Gezer 16(Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up and captured Gezer and burned it with fire, and had killed othe Canaanites who lived in the city, and had given it as dowry to phis daughter, Solomon’s wife; 17so Solomon rebuilt Gezer) and qLower Beth-horon 18and Baalath and Tamar in the wilderness, in the land of Judah,
Hebrew lacks  of Judah
19and all the store cities that Solomon had, and sthe cities for his chariots, and the cities for this horsemen, and whatever Solomon udesired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion. 20All the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the people of Israel 21 vtheir descendants who were left after them in the land, wwhom the people of Israel were unable to devote to destruction
That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
ythese Solomon drafted to be zslaves, and so they are to this day.
22But aaof the people of Israel Solomon made no slaves. They were the soldiers, they were his officials, his commanders, his captains, his chariot commanders and his horsemen.

1 Kings 9:27

27And Hiram sent abwith the fleet his servants, seamen who were familiar with the sea, together with the servants of Solomon.

1 Chronicles 14:1

David’s Wives and Children

1 acAnd Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, also masons and carpenters to build a house for him.

2 Chronicles 8:18

18And Hiram sent to him by the hand of his servants ships and servants familiar with the sea, and they went to Ophir together with the servants of Solomon and brought from there ad450 talents
A  talent was about 75 pounds or 34 kilograms
of gold and brought it to King Solomon.

2 Chronicles 9:10

10Moreover, the servants of Hiram and the servants of Solomon, afwho brought gold from Ophir, brought algum wood and precious stones.
