2 Samuel 5:18-25

18Now the Philistines had come and spread out in athe Valley of Rephaim. 19And David binquired of the Lord, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you give them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will certainly give the Philistines into your hand.” 20And David came to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there. And he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me like a breaking flood.” cTherefore the name of that place is called Baal-perazim.
 Baal-perazim means lord of bursting through
21And the Philistines left their idols there, and David and his men carried them away.

22And the Philistines came up yet again eand spread out in the Valley of Rephaim. 23 fAnd when David inquired of the Lord, he said, “You shall not go up; go around to their rear, and come against them opposite the balsam trees. 24And gwhen you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then rouse yourself, hfor then the Lord has gone out before you to strike down the army of the Philistines.” 25And David did as the Lord commanded him, and struck down the Philistines from Geba ito Gezer.

2 Samuel 8:1-2

David’s Victories

1 jAfter this David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and David took kMetheg-ammah out of the hand of the Philistines.

2 lAnd he defeated Moab and he measured them with a line, making them lie down on the ground. Two lines he measured to be put to death, and one full line to be spared. And the Moabites mbecame servants to David and nbrought tribute.

2 Samuel 8:13-14

13And David made a name for himself when he returned from striking down 18,000 Edomites in othe Valley of Salt. 14Then he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom he put garrisons, pand all the Edomites became David’s servants. And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.

2 Samuel 10:14

14And when the Ammonites saw that the Syrians fled, they likewise fled before Abishai and entered the city. Then Joab returned from fighting against the Ammonites and came to Jerusalem.

Psalms 21:8-9

8 Your hand will qfind out all your enemies;
your right hand will find out those who hate you.
9You will make them as ra blazing oven
when you appear.
The Lord will swallow them up in his swrath,
and tfire will consume them.
