2 Samuel 5:6-7

6 aAnd the king and his men went to Jerusalem bagainst the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who said to David, “You will not come in here, but the blind and the lame will ward you off”—thinking, “David cannot come in here.” 7Nevertheless, David took the stronghold of Zion, cthat is, the city of David.

Jeremiah 7:4

4 dDo not trust in these deceptive words: ‘This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’

Jeremiah 49:4-5

4Why do you boast of your valleys,
Hebrew  boast of your valleys, your valley flows

fO faithless daughter,
gwho trusted in her treasures, saying,
Who will come against me?’
5Behold, hI will bring terror upon you,
declares the Lord God of hosts,
from all who are around you,
and you shall be driven out, every man straight before him,
with none to gather the fugitives.

Jeremiah 49:16

16The horror you inspire has deceived you,
and the pride of your heart,
you who live in the clefts of the rock,
Or  of Sela

who hold the height of the hill.
Though you jmake your nest as high as the eagle’s,
I will bring you down from there,

declares the Lord.

Lamentations 4:12

12 kThe kings of the earth did not believe,
nor any of the inhabitants of the world,
that foe or enemy could enter
the gates of Jerusalem.

Obadiah 3-4

Who will bring me down to the ground?”
4Though you soar aloft like the eagle,
though your nest is set among the stars,

Micah 3:11

11 oIts heads give judgment for a bribe;
pits priests teach for a price;
qits prophets practice divination for money;
ryet they lean on the Lord and ssay,
“Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
