2 Samuel 7:11-12

11 ^afrom the time that I appointed judges over my people Israel. And ^bI will give you rest from all your enemies. Moreover, the Lord declares to you that ^cthe Lord will make you a house. 12 ^dWhen your days are fulfilled and ^eyou lie down with your fathers, ^fI will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.

Isaiah 9:6-7

6 ^gFor to us a child is born,
to us ^ha son is given;
ⁱand the government shall be ^jupon ^{▼▼Or is upon} his shoulder,
and his name shall be called ^{▼▼Or is called}
Wonderful ^mCounselor, ⁿMighty God,
^oEverlasting ^pFather, Prince of ^qPeace.
7 Of the increase of his government and of peace
^rthere will be no end,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
^swith justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
^tThe zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.
